FAQs

Here you can find any possible answers to your questions.
Do you guarantee me a job after I’ve finished the course?

We are not alone in our opinion that any training company guaranteeing you a job is falsely advertising with misleading marketing tactics. The ASA (Advertising Standards Authority) are aware of this potential malpractice and investigations are likely to occur.

Be A Better You is working with Fitness First, along with other gyms and personal trainer franchises. You are guaranteed a job interview during and after your course, so there is no need to worry about getting your personal trainer career started on graduating. For more information click here.

People who come to us tend to be around 25+ years old, with approximately 55%/45% male/female ratio who all have a clear idea of what they want from a career in fitness. Many are already professionals, but in other sectors, and they no longer enjoy their jobs and have decided to start a fresh career doing something they love. The main characteristics you will need to have are; willing to learn, a passion for health and fitness, willing to help others, and have the determination and ‘business-person’ mentality to succeed.

On your personal trainer course, do you include other courses such as spin, kettlebells, boxercise etc?

We cover the two core courses which are level 2 fitness instructor and level 3 personal trainer. We don’t ‘pad’ out our courses to make them seem more interesting with additional courses which might not be of use to you in the real world. We believe that once you are working as a personal trainer you will see which opportunities are there to earn more money then decide which extra courses you wish to do. Essentially we make sure you can walk before you run! However, we do offer extra course to further your skills which you can add at time of booking.

Are jobs easy to find after completing my personal trainer course?

There are many jobs being advertised on a daily basis and you should register to popular websites to be alerted when new positions become available. We recommend you visit the gym where you wish to work (remember you don’t have to work in a gym if you are a personal trainer) and hand in your CV to the fitness manager personally. Being a personal trainer is not easy. The more work you put in the more you get out and can be very rewarding both financially and personally. You have to be pro-active and look online for job positions.
